How it works
Judges will be put to the test to establish during three days of competition, who has Australia’s Best Pie and Australia’s Best Pastie.
Australia’s Best Pie & Pastie competition is run by the National Body for industry,
The Baking Association of Australia.
Our team of experienced and well respected judges take the time to judge every entry we receive.
All entries are judged as a cold entry, and then judged again and tasted as a hot entry – with your scores combining to help find
Australia’s Best Pie & Pastie.

Enter Australia’s Best Pie and Pastie competition either via our PDF download or online.
ENTRY FEE:
Members $35 Per Entry Per Class
Non Members $45 Per Entry Per Class
Entry forms submitted after Friday 14th July will attract a $5 administration fee per class entry.
3 PIES OR PASTIES FOR EACH CATEGORY AND ENTRY MUST BE SUBMITTED

Conditions of Entry
1. All entry forms must be sent to the BAA to be registered and must include your signature stating you have read and understood the declaration form.
2. All payments must be finalised prior to the judging of your product.
3. Entry forms that are submitted after Friday, 14 July will attract a $5.00 per class entry administration fee.
4. Registered entries can be hand delivered to Wentworth Park Complex, Sydney on the following days:
Monday 14 July from 11am - 4pm, Tuesday 15 July and Wednesday 16 July from 9am - 4pm and Thursday 17 July 8am -10am.
5. Winners will be announced at 3pm Thursday 17th July in the competition area. Please note photos and live footage will be taken for social media and main stream TV.

The Triple Crown!
For the first time, 2025 will see the addition of The Triple Crown Competition!
If you are able to take out multiple national titles you will receive some awesome prizes. These prizes include, a 4 tray combi oven from Tecnoeka and $10,000 cash for the winner of all 3 national titles, or $5,000 for the winner of 2 national titles.
The competition will be heating up in 2025!
