About the Association 

The Baking Association of Australia (BAA) is an employer organisation representing the baking industry on a national level. 

The National Board is made up of representatives from each state making up a committee which shows true strength as a leader and allowing everyone to have a voice. 

The BAA as the industry leader is affiliated with many other companies within the industry and provides up to date information and advice. 

It represents the interests of members, bakeries and allied organisations in promoting business opportunities, and a range of services.

Are you compliant? 

The Fair Work Office conducts audits and investigations on businesses that are not compliant with the correct paperwork trail required for employees. 

You need to have:

  • Letter of offer for all employees (Casual, Part Time, Full Time)

  • Roster displayed, time sheets (that must display all breaks)

  • Payroll system that produces pay slips (Employees must be given a payslip outlining the pay for the period regardless if they throw it in the bin)

  • The awards and rates must be in a folder on premises and available for staff to look at
